Melanie & Neeraj's Destination Wedding in Turks & Caicos

One of "The Knot's" best cultural weddings of the year was a spectacular four-day Indian wedding celebration hosted by Amanyara resort at one of the most beautiful island destinations on the planet! The culmination of this near decade-long romance brought fond memories to the picturesque island oasis that became the ultimate setting for an unforgettable wedding.

Melanie & Neeraj's welcome party was a colorful, bohemian inspired event held at a private villa dotted with candles, torches and lanterns. The couple welcomed guests and reminisced with friends as the sun set over the crystal clear Caribbean waters. After a morning boat excursion, guests enjoyed a glittering “Bollywood Soire” themed sangeet night with choreographed dances and speeches.

A tropical storm rolled in the morning of the wedding and with all the romance of a Bollywood love scene, Melanie & Neeraj saw each other in their wedding attire for the very first time in the rain. The clouds parted just in time for a beautiful South Indian ceremony at Amanyara’s reflecting pool. The reception was a romantic candlelit evening of dinner and speeches under the stars, both romantic and chic, with a party kicked off by a spectacular fireworks show.

Mohini Boparai & Sunjay Gularia of Exclusively.in assisted with India’s top fashion designers; the bride wore Manish Arora at her welcome party, Manish Malhotra at her sangeet and wedding, and Sabyasachi at her reception. Each look was meticulously created by Susmita Patel of Style by Susmita, who also designed one-of-a-kind accessories as the exclusive makeup artist and stylist in Turks & Caicos.
